Donate to Dog Parks & Programs

Fairfax County Park Authority welcomes leashed dogs in all parks. Owners and well-socialized canines may use Park Authority operated Dog Parks, designated fence-enclosed areas where unleashed dogs can enjoy free play.

The FCPA Dog Park Study was conducted to assess needs and priorities for dog parks throughout the county, and to adopt strategies for long-term planning, development, and management of dog parks.

Dog Daze

It’s a dog-gone shame.  Due to mechanical failures, Dog Daze 2022 will not be held on Saturday, September 10 from 9 am - 1 pm at The Water Mine in Reston. We hope to enjoy this popular season-ending swim event for dogs only and includes a canine resource fair next year.

Donation requests are $10 per dog. Net proceeds from Dog Daze will help fund the Water Mine Family Swimmin’ Hole at Lake Fairfax Park through the Fairfax County Park Foundation.

Since Every Day is a Dog Day, please enjoy a day of fun with your four-legged friend at FCPA’s off-leash Dog Parks or along hundreds of miles of Park Trails!
