Dancers. The Park Authority, in partnership with the Fairfax County Park Foundation and generous sponsors presents a summer-long series of shows, concerts and movies. These concerts, held in local parks are the perfect place to bring a picnic dinner, blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the best local and regional entertainers. Best of all, they are close to home and absolutely free to attendees!

The Summer Entertainment Series includes the special Arts in the Parks that introduces children to live, quality entertainment in an outdoor setting.

The more than 200 performances range from children's puppet shows to big band, jazz, bluegrass, rock, classical and world music. For those who love a classic, enjoy a nostalgic return to the good old days and the drive-in theatre where you can view movies from the comfort of your car.

Ruth and Hal Landers. The Summer Entertainment Series is supported by nonprofit organizations, individuals and private sector businesses. These partners have donated the financial resources that enable the Park Authority to book nationally-recognized artists and the area's top local talent. Transurban and Fluor invested in the 495 and 95 Express Lanes Community Grant program to demonstrate the long-term commitment to the region. Numerous Fairfax County park programs have been supported over the years including the Summer Entertainment Series.
