Robin Walker is the Community Outreach Liaison for the McLean Community Center. She is the artist and lead designer of Robin Walker Designs, founded in 2010, specializing in print graphics, social media and e-marketing.
Robin designs marketing materials for a variety of promotions ranging from community parades to trade shows. Her work includes support of numerous non-profit and charitable initiatives including the McLean 5K Family Fun Run; CharityWorks Dream Ball and 100 Point Vintage Wine Dinner; PRS, Inc. 50th Anniversary Fundraising Event; Homestretch 20th Anniversary Fundraising Event; Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce program guides and more.
Robin has served as the Auction Co-Chair of the CharityWorks Dream Ball; Governing Board of the McLean Community Center; McLean Project for the Arts Board and Chair of the Children's Art Walk for the annual MPAartfest.
Her professional experience with the National Wildlife Federation includes assisting the art director and leading Children’s Craft design for ‘Ranger Rick & Your Big Backyard’ magazines and television show broadcast on PBS. Robin was previously an Underwriting Research Analyst and Flood Auditor for the GEICO Corporation.
Robin earned a Certificate in Digital Data Management in 2013 from the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. She is a Corcoran School of Art + Design trained Graphic Designer. In 2006, Robin completed the Master Gardener Program at Green Spring Gardens through the Virginia Cooperative Extension. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University with an emphasis on insurance and financial securities.
Robin is a graduate of the Leadership Fairfax Institute Class of 2018 signature program. Robin is a Virginia native who is a long-time resident of McLean.
