Brooke Nielsen serves as the Finance Administrator of the Fairfax County Park Foundation. Her responsibilities include office management, accounts receivable, reconciliation, database management, budget and financial reporting and audit preparation.

This role continues her government service career which commenced with Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) in 2005. Her quantitative skills helped assess programs for targeted marketing opportunities that increased revenue generation. Brooke planned successful events and managed various outreach programs across multiple FCPA Rec Center locations including Cub Run and Oak Marr.

Brooke is a Notary Public whose writing capability and keen editorial skills were honed during six years in private industry where she performed workflow management, processing state and federal filings, data entry and mail merges in private.

Brooke received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing and a minor Interior Design from Radford University. While attending Radford University, she became a member of the American Marketing Association, American Society of Interior Designers, and participated in various philanthropic and outreach activities.

Brooke is a Class of 2021 graduate of the Leadership Fairfax Emerging Leaders Institute. She has studied American Sign Language, is a certified swim instructor, and has received numerous PRAISE and Bright Idea Awards for going above and beyond in her career.

A lifelong resident of Fairfax County, Brooke and her husband live in Centreville, Virginia where they are raising their two children.
